Real Wedding Stories: Asian Fusion, Luxury Surrey Wedding

Updated: Nov 27, 2020

We were very fortunate to work with the wonderful couple, Syma and Sachi, back in 2018 on their beautiful Wedding day at the iconic Froyle Park in Surrey, just before they jetted off to start their new lives in Dubai!

They described their Wedding style as Dolce Vita and Regal Indian, which was shown in the immaculate detailed décor and floristry created by 1SW Events.

Having already held their Mehndi party the previous week, Froyle Park was home to their civil ceremony and celebrations, including an Indian feast and traditions such as the Bride's brother capturing and holding the Bride until he is paid by the Groom!

The talented Abu Bakar Sarfraz captured the whole day with his amazing photography skills, along with videographer Talheet.

The day started with the Bridal party prep, along with best friends Laila and Rubi (and matching pyjamas of course!) who all stayed in the annexe available for the night prior at Froyle Park. A pair of pink Dune sling backs were paired with the first outfit of the date, a lace, off the shoulder white dress.

The Groom arrived next to the venue in style of course - the Rolls Royce! After photos, it was his duty to meet and greet the guests ready for the ceremony, but not forgetting a special note from the Bride....

....and here he is walking down the aisle to 'You'll Never Walk Alone' played by a beautiful string quartet. So what did the note say? They had not planned to use this song, while all along the Bride was planning to have it as a special surprise for him while he entered with his best man and groomsmen! The bridal party then entered to Canon in D (such a classic and beautiful choice!)

Another very personal touch to their day was to have both sets of parents also walk down the aisle, before the Bride entered, walked by her brother. Although it was a windy day, the sun was shining, showing the beautiful flower décor on the Dome in all their full glory!

The ceremony:

Post ceremony bought plenty of celebrating, photographs and a delicious afternoon tea!

The couple planned in plenty of time to get all of the shots they wanted, including time together to get the ultimate couples shots! It is so vital to plan in time together, away from the other guests to get these shots and also, just to take a step back and let reality hit that you are now married! Time with close loved ones such as your bridal party and your parents is also important, treasure these times. Syma didn't just use these times to get images with her bridesmaids and Mum, she used them to chat and enjoy themselves.

The decor and cake just perfectly fit into the style that the couple wanted to create. The cake, made by Keep It Cake was truly a piece of art, and was better than Syma could ever have imagined!

After the Indian feast, created and served by the fantastic La Freshco which went down a treat (!) it was time for the Bride to get into her second outfit, a colourful Indian two piece complete with jewellery, (which looked absolutely incredible) along with her new husband who also wore a traditional outfit. The couple were announced into the room separately along with their parents to take their seats on the stage, ready for the speeches!

There was not a dry eye in sight, with speeches not only from the best man and Groom, but also from their friends and family. Each speaker was also introduced to the stage with their own entrance song which was chosen by the couple as the soundtrack to that person, which will now never be forgotten! Such a great way to add personality to your day!

The couple then went back outside for more alone time and to get some incredible evening shots together - top tip, don't forget the evening shots! You will not regret it!

It was then back into the original outfits, ready for the first dance, Get You by Daniel Caesar, and then....

PARTY TIME! And these guys knew how to party!! They really made the most out of their Wedding day, especially in the evening, letting their hair down and enjoying themselves with their favourite people.

It truly was a joy to be a part of Syma and Sachi's special day, and one we will never forget!
